"Organization focuses on animals"
 

Cause for Paws New Hampshire, a new nonprofit organization whose mission is to support the overall health and well-being of animals in need and to teach and encourage responsible pet ownership, will host a pet fair April 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the conference center at Lake Opechee Inn and Spa in Laconia. Founder Michelle DuPont told us more about the organization:

Michelle DuPont, Innkeeper at Lake Opechee Inn and Spa in Lakeport, is shown here with Keegan, an 18-week old golden retriever who is often found romping around the Inn’s offices.  DuPont and others formed a non-profit organization to raise funds to help local animals and offer education to prevent future cases of neglect.  The organization is Cause for Paws New Hampshire and will have its first fundraising event on April 24.  (Laconia Daily Sun photo/Adam Drapcho)
